All In A Row

Each of the following letters contain a sequence of five consecutive letters:

  • Remaining quite calm, no protesters vandalized any local businesses.
  • During the eye examination, first uveitis, then conjunctivitis, was ruled out by the ophthalmologist.
  • Having never heard of ghi, jaded tourists were overjoyed to try something new and exotic.

If you consider the alphabet cyclically, then this is another example:

  • Boxy zabras make poor sailing vessels.

and if abbreviations are allowed, longer sequences can be contrived:

  • The worst UV waves occur on sunny, summer days between 10am and 2pm.
